Hello, I’m Tom

My Story

After graduating from the University of Manchester, I joined Teach First, one of the country’s most prestigious teacher training programmes. There I Qualified as a Mathematics Teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics working in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

There I fell in love with teaching maths, those lightbulb moments of ‘I get it now’ clarity, seeing students go from fearing maths and doubting themselves to confident problem solvers ready to take on the world, knowing they can succeed.

I have since gone on to hone my craft, teaching in an OFSTED-rated Outstanding School in the Manchester area while gaining a Masters Degree in Philosophy and Political Theory.

Since then I have taught at an award-winning International School in the Middle East, returned home to start a family and now tutor full-time from our family home on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds.
